Advanced Aminations Produces Interactive Animatronics for New Universal Studios Florida "Men in Black" AttractionOctober 4, 1999 Advanced Animations, Inc. (AA) today announced it has received a contract to produce alien animatronic characters for the "Men in Black" attraction opening in spring 2000 at Universal Studios Escape, in Orlando, Florida. Using the latest in animatronic-motion technology, AA will bring to life many of the extra-terrestrial characters seen in the box office hit movie, Men in Black. The company is responsible for designing, fabricating and integrating numerous special effects into the characters to help make the MIB experience even more exciting as visitors are catapulted into an alien invasion. "Being a part of what Universal Studios creates for the big screen and then transfers into a park adventure is a unique experience. The characters we develop for their attractions are challenging to create and are very detailed to make what is seen at the movies realistic for visitors to experience at the park," commented Terry Sparks, general manager for Advanced Animations. AA has manufactured animatronic displays for the "T2: Battle Across Time" and "E.T.'s Adventure" attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood. AA is also producing more than 90 animated figures for "E.T.'s Adventure" at Universal Studios Japan, along with animations for "T2: Battle Across Time," "Jurassic Park" and "Snoopy Studio." Universal Studios Japan is scheduled to open in April 2001 in Osaka, Japan. About Advanced Animations, Inc.
