GROSSOLOGY: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body

Ah, the joys of childhood. GROSSOLOGY: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body is a unique edutainment attraction currently visiting and breaking attendance figures at science centers, museums and theme parks (for the current tour schedule, visit www.grossologytour.com).

Inspired by the children's best-selling book GROSSOLOGY by Sylvia Branzei, the exhibition features a multitude of interactive exhibits and sophisticated animatronic displays to teach what our body's biology does to keep us healthy.

For instance, visitors can become a dust particle and walk through a giant nose to learn about mucus production, find out what causes runny noses with Nigel Nose-it-All, or play "Gas Attack" pinball and score points by hitting bumpers disguised as foods that cause gas.

Advanced Exhibits licensed GROSSOLOGY for purposes of creating an interactive 3-D edutainment world. The exhibition was designed, fabricated and is exclusively operated by Advanced Exhibits. We now have several tours since GROSSOLOGY creates such a buzz in each community it visits:

1) North America

  • Two 5,000-sq.-ft. exhibitions
  • One 2,500-sq.-ft. exhibition

2) International

  • Tour visiting Asia and Europe over a five-year period

3) Permanent Exhibits

  • Many science centers have purchased their own permanent GROSSOLOGY exhibition or select exhibits from the exhibition
